It was very late in the winter swell season, April in fact. It had been an absolutely epic year for wave photography. To this date I haven't seen a year as great as that year was. Normally I don't take many wave photos in April because by May we enter summer season on the North Shore which means flat surf. The swells just kept coming, which was great! I love this ocean picture because you can see wave after wave in the background. The water is crystal clear, crisp and refreshing!
